ORYNG

What is Oryng?

Oryng is an enthusiastic group of passionate individuals and organizations that have been influenced by the Wiring Framework, and who are working together to curate and expand its usage.

What is the Wiring Framework?

You have probably seen digitalWrite or delay somewhere. Both are part of the "language" that has been popularized by Arduino and similar boards, called the Wiring Framework.

What needs to be done?

Even though the popularity of the Wiring Framework is increasing, it needs to be formally maintained in a way that benefits all that use it.

Thus, the three main directions for Oryng are to:

1. Maintain and develop the Wiring Framework
We want to ensure that changes and additions to the Wiring Framework are universally acceptable by both users and the companies that develop technology utilizing it.
2. Curate libraries based on current technologies
The Wiring Framework has empowered countless people to develop and share their own libraries. We want to list those libraries, and share a best practice guide that developers can use as inspiration.
3. Expand the Framework and libraries based on new technologies
As new technologies emerge, we want to grow with them and enrich the Wiring Framework. One notable example is the web of things, or IoT.
